i've been back from bangkok for a few days now, and en route the returning flight, i was never more eager to head home. and that was largely due to my severely aching body recovering from a bout of food poisoning just hours before.
yep. i 'kanna' food poisoning in bkk. and of all things, by drinking a cup of hot chocolate from the hotel i was staying in. *bleah* i hope i can go near the drink in future, especially how unpleasant it was to have merlion-ed 5 times because of it. it resulted in having to go to the hospital because i started getting abdominal cramps and i was concerned if i would get an infection. the last time i had food poisoning (also in thailand), i had an infection and should it happen again this time round, it would affect baby Asher.
thankfully, after 2 injections and an ultrasound, the pain decreased and baby Asher looked fine. he weighed a healthy 1.04kg and i'm real thankful for that, especially since my tummy is a lot smaller than most other pregnant women around.
speaking of thanksgiving, i'm really glad for how this work (plus some shopping) trip went. being able to see how God worked through us and in the students while we conducted the dance training was humbling and reassuring. it was amazing to see how He orchestrated events such that our being there would provide such timely reassurance and advice to the staff and students regarding a dance ministry, and He used our very little to bless others (:
shopping with my mum after the work was done (she flew up to join me) was enjoyable. i was telling the hubby that i think my becoming a mum seems to be helping us to bond. it definitely helped that baby Asher moved a lot when we flew home and gave his grandma lots to squeal in delight about (:
so i'm thankful for all of that, and for my comfortable bed!! ever since we got the mattress topper, sleep has been so much more restful. needless to say, my new body size is also thankful for the added support the mattress topper provides.
and the hubby's home too!! enjoying simple pleasures of having meals together and walking hand in hand while the baby isn't keeping us too occupied...yet. there's loads happening in feb! at least work wise. hello the month of february!!!
