midnight ramblings

suddenly feel exhausted from attempts at designing the first wedding invite draft. feel handicapped with my inability (and non-ownership of) photoshop. ended up with a bit done on word, and the rest sketched out on paper. yet some of it will probably not make it as the final product, after approval from the hubby2b, and considering costs for the no. of colors needed. color crazy me will throw money out the window if i could in designing my ideal wedding invite. but *reminds myself* it's only a card, and i don't have to splurge. actually, i can't afford to splurge :P

came online for the first time in don't know how long (by online i mean msn). someone's nick said 'bye delirious', which prompted me to discover the sad news that they're taking an indefinite break. their music and creativity were a precious part of my NUS days, during which the chords of e-guit and bass jolted my brain as i attempted to concentrate on studying challenging bits of academics. yet it is not without respect at their decision to rest, especially with martin's desire to spend more time with his family. so sweet. (:

on a grimmer note, i discovered the controversial hoax of the man behind the song 'Healer'. i was highly encouraged as i listened to the circumstances surrounding the birth of the song. i was sadder still, to learn that it wasn't true, and the plight he and his wife must be in.

for all the anger and hurt people who gave to him felt when they heard the truth behind it, i hope they would also extend grace and forgiveness to a man who desperately needs prayer to recover from this. and even more strength for his wife as she journeys with him during such a painful season.

such is the power of trust, and such is the depth of hurt when that trust is broken and abused. only Your grace is sufficient for all of our failings.

anyhow, i'm thankful for a few things today...

a good catch up with K over lunch and brainstorming a bit about dance workshop
shopping for groceries for cheese cake making over the weekend
thoughts on how interesting it must be the way He weaves hearts and lives together, over a couple of conversations with girlfriends ;)
reminder that i'm loved when hubby2b msg-ed from m'sia

i'm real sleepy now. eager for tomorrow. cheesecake project2 starts, maybe a little swimming if the sun's friendly, craftwork, DG and joey. yay! (:
